Introduction to a Life in Music is more about the introduction to the piece than about the piece itself. It tells the story about the first time I learned what a trombone is, and the demonstration on it by a music teacher that convinced me to sign up for band class. This is the first step on a music-filled journey to my present life as a composer living in New York. In this piece I tell this story and recreate the short trombone solo that started it all.
