My entire approach to music creation changed a few years ago when I began to listen to everything around me, rather than simply to hear everything around me. Today's piece is a recognition of that idea. I took my laptop to my favorite caffeine vendor, recorded the sounds around me (using my computer's internal mic), applied a crude filter, and edited the resulting sound very slightly in a way I find amusing.
